F1, MotoGP, Superbike and Formula E: record season for engines on Sky

Not only Formula One and MotoGP: also Superbike, Formula E, World Rally Championship, Ntt Indycar Series, Fanatec Gt World Challenge Europe, World Endurance Championship and others, for a total of 20 motorsport championships. Face each other with the same passion and expertise. There will be over 320 races in 43 weekends, more than 1,600 hours of live programming, of which 400 between studies and features: the Sky Motor Company presented its 2023 season, which offers a long series of novelties.

MotoGp, the first 6 sprint races unencrypted on TV8

F1 makes its debut on Sunday 5 March with the first race – of the scheduled 11 pm – in Bahrain and is enriched with a new social column on the morning of the race, with Federica Masolin and Davide Valsecchi. There will be a privileged line with some team principals who will be able to intervene directly on the news from their pit lane walls. Commentators are joined by ex-racer Ivan Capelli, in the role of guest and expert television analyst. The MotoGP kicks off in Portimao on 26 March: the Portuguese race will see the debut of the column “Parto in Quarta”, which in the pre-race will have the French Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo, as the protagonist. From March to November, there will be 21 races on Sundays and as many on Saturdays. In fact, this year’s challenge on 2 wheels includes sprint races (half of the day’s route with points up for grabs): the first 6 races of the season will also be broadcast live and unencrypted on TV8. Formula One also includes sprint races, but only on 6 occasions. Five 4-wheeled GPs – Imola, Spain, Hungary, Monza and Mexico – will also be broadcast live on TV8.

Commenting on the F1 will be the voices of Carlo Vanzini together with Marc Genè, always ready with updates from the Ferrari box and on the track, and Roberto Chinchero, in the role of insider in the pits. Federica Masolin will be the presenter of the insights before and after the race on Paddock Live and the new social section to answer fans’ questions before the start of the race, together with Davide Valsecchi. Special forays by Nico Rosberg in some races. Matteo Bobbi and his Sky Sport Tech Room will be entrusted with the technical analyses, while the interviews on the track and in the paddocks will be performed by pit reporter Mara Sangiorgio.

Twenty championships, one thousand and six hundred hours of live coverage

Guido Meda, deputy director of Sky Sport and engine manager, will talk about the MotoGP together with Mauro Sanchini. The Moto2 and Moto3 commentary will be entrusted to Rosario Triolo and Mattia Pasini, who will alternate with Federico Aliverti in case of sporting commitments. Vera Spadini will conduct the pre- and post-race insights of the Paddock Live Show, while Sandro Donato Grosso and Antonio Boselli will be the correspondents for updates and interviews from the pits. Edoardo Vercellesi and Max Temporali tell the story of the Superbike.
