Where will the first concrete changes be seen?
“There are many areas and they are moving in parallel. For public transport, for example, citizens will see new tramways and subways, as well as the improvement of existing lines and an integration of all sustainable transport possibilities within a few years. Without forgetting the reorganization of sharing services, from bikes to scooters to cars”.
But you have reduced both the number of scooters and electric bikes.
“We reduced them because there was an excess of vehicles and everyone was present in the centre. It was imposed as a condition for winning the tender to operate in the city that they are available in the various districts because they must not be a means of entertainment but of transport. But other solutions take time. The maintenance of the subway lines, to cite one case, was non-existent. Getting it back on its feet means launching tenders, buying new carriages, restoring the stations. A gigantic and necessary operation, otherwise we would have to close the subway directly”.
