Today on @ greenandblue.ambiente (direct from 2pm) Max Casacci converses with Giorgio Brizio from Fridays For Future Italy to present the latest tour date of Earthphoniathe show created by the guitarist and founder of Subsonic with the geologist and popularizer Mario Tozzi.

The show is inspired by the book, which includes the CD Earthphonia with eight songs, created thanks to the contribution of personalities such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mariasole Bianco, Stefano Mancuso, Carlo Petrini and, in fact, the geologist Mario Tozzi who not only provided the sounds to build a song about volcanoes but agreed to write an important part of the book, the one that gives voice to nature (air, volcanoes, oceans, mountains, roots, bees ).

“Earthphonia” is a visionary story, a journey that interprets nature by extracting melodies and rhythms from it. It starts from the air, from the birds and from the biodiversity of the Po Delta, flowing into the ocean, listening to the sound of the roots of a forest underground, diving into the volcanoes of the Aeolian islands, spying on bees in the darkness of the hive and, finally , gliding over the mountains.

The show has a strong environmental impact, through a physical and mental journey that inspires paths, integrates knowledge, places, opens up to sensations and thoughts, placing at the center the beauty and fragility of a thousand different worlds. “It also fully inscribes itself in the wake of the new environmental cultures that carry out a real rethinking of the idea of nature – observes Casacci -: a place of contemplation and a space for the soul, but also a basis for survival that demands sustainability”.

“Noises and sound environments are reworked into melodies, harmonies, rhythms and orchestrations. It is ambient music in the literal sense of the term because everything it plays is directly derived from the recordings of nature without any use of musical instruments – explains Casacci -. It is”conceptronica“in the use of technology at the service of an action. The written word of the book integrates with the sound to define an imaginary that can go beyond everyday experience. It is not the composer who imposes the score, it is the notes that flow directly from the natural environments that guide the creative process and indicate the way forward. In “Earthphonia” the relationship between man and music is overturned and that between man and nature ventures into the search for a new balance “.
