Earth Day celebrations kick off: over 600 events scheduled

Beyond 600 events including educational workshops, sports activities, concerts, street art, talk shows and dozens of activities dedicated to the environment, innovation, culture and sport. These are the initiatives scheduled for Earth Day 2023, the 53rd World Earth Daythe most important environmental event of the United Nations which is celebrated on 22 April all over the world with over a billion citizens involved through the work of 75,000 organizations in 193 countries.

The program was presented at the headquarters of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Rome. Dozens of events scheduled, in different areas of the country, which Earth Day Italia has been sponsoring and promoting for years. The Italian event, organized by Earth Day Italia and the Focolare Movement, was defined by the Earth Day Network of Washington as one of the most important global events for the protection of the planet and the development of a strong ecological awareness.

All the activities in the village can be used for free.

Thanks to the precious contribution of the mercies the Village for the Earth it will be even more accessible, inclusive and safe for all visitors. Schools of all levels, coming from all over Italy with thousands of students, will have the opportunity to actively take part in the celebrations. For the little ones a fantastic has been prepared Children’s Village, in collaboration with Unicef, and numerous other associations, full of fun workshops among which we cannot fail to mention: the Pompieropoli of the Fire Brigade, the inflatable planetarium of the Inaf, the spectacular climbing wall offered by the National Educational Sports Center ( Csen, the largest sports promotion body recognized by Coni) and the biodiversity trails set up by the Carabinieri Forestali, where you will witness the baptism of the saddle with the Monterufoli horses every day.
