D’Onofrio, Dda Milano transmits documents to Figc – Calcio

The session of the federal council of the FIGC, as emerged yesterday, will serve to make “a political reflection” and to “deepen” the story of D’Onofrio, arrested on 20 May 2020 for a transport of 44 kg of marijuana, but promoted in 2021 from member of the disciplinary commission to the head of the investigating and requirent body of the arbitrators association (in which he has held positions since 2009). His role as chief prosecutor Aia had not emerged with the second arrest, but only two days ago with the resignation of D’Onofrio.

In the documents of the investigation that led to the precautionary order (42 measures in total) there were no references to this position, because they are not relevant in the investigations of the DDA. D’Onofrio, after his arrest in the act of May 2020, was first in prison and then under house arrest and was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months (he served his sentence in house arrest). The final sentence of the Supreme Court is of 9 September 2021: the defense’s request to grant him “the recognition of the extenuating circumstances to the fullest extent” was rejected.
