The screams were very loud enough to frighten a passer-by: from a window in via Romana in Florence the voice of a woman looking for help until silence. It was 1pm on 25 October when a lady, terrified by what she had heard and by the fact that she no longer heard any noise, decided to call – alarmed – 112. The arrival of police cars rushed to the place to understand what was happening and to understand the condition of the woman who appeared to be in danger. Immediately they rang all the bells of the building but no one knew anything about the screams.

The name on the intercom

Until something began to be clearer when on an intercom there was the name of the Oltrarno actor’s training school directed by Pierfrancesco Favino. Once inside the agents asked if there had been any evidence shortly before. And here’s the truth: luckily the screaming was just part of a theatrical rehearsal tied to a vocal practice. Evidence, apparently, passed. The Favino school, not present at the moment, proposes a three-year course of study to solicit and help develop individual expressive skills within a group context. As stated on the school website “under the direction of Pierfrancesco Favino and with the involvement of teachers of international standing, particular importance will be given to the work on body and voice and on the acquisition of a strong basic technique that allows young actors to to develop an expressive freedom and autonomy that makes them competitive even outside our country “.
