Don Milani cannot be the compass for orienting oneself in modernity

Giuliano Ferrara defined Don Milani as a “prophet of decivilization” (Foglio, 28 May). A perfectly fitting definition that also applies to the other Italian prophet of the second half of the last century, Pier Paolo Pasolini. A culturally confused left has united both to Gramsci who never wore the clothes of the prophet and who was an admirer of industrial and scientific civilization.
