Several teams paid tribute to the young driver, with McLaren saying it was “very saddened to learn of the death of Danilo van’t Hoff today at Spa-Francorchamps. “Our hearts go out to his family, friends and all ‘whole MP Motorsport team in this difficult moment,’ added McLaren. This drama closely resembles that of Anthoine Hubert, who died tragically on the same Belgian circuit on 31 August 2019 during a Formula 2 race.
