ROME – Within the project “Draft the Future! Towards a Diaspora Forum in Italy” (DTF) was opened a call aimed at diaspora associations operating in Italy to strengthen technical-administrative skills and acquire the requisites useful for enrollment in the register of Civil society organizations (OSC) of theItalian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). You learn it from the site Info-Cooperationpoint of reference on the net for the Italian community of International Cooperation, from which it will be possible to download the Announcement in its entirety.

What is the DTF project. It is funded by Italian Development Cooperation and implemented byInternational Organization for Migration in partnership With the’Le Réseau Association. The project lays its foundations on the results of the National Diaspora Summit project carried out between 2017 and 2020. This project, like the previous one, is part of the framework of the Italian cooperation reform introduced with law 125/2014 which assigns, for the first time, a leading role in the diaspora.

The role of the diasporas. To implement the provisions of the reform and make the role of the diasporas operational and incisive within the Cooperation system, it is necessary, on the one hand, to strengthen the technical-administrative skills of the Associations and, on the other, to accompany the more structured realities to the knowledge of the registration procedure in the List of Civil Society Organizations of theAICS extension, providing them with personalized technical assistance aimed at registering on the List itself. From this point of view, the call aims to select associations of the diaspora interested in undertaking a path of personalized technical assistance aimed at enrollment in the list of AICS associations. The call is open to diaspora associations that have gained proven experience in the management of international cooperation projects and/or citizenship education, the deadline for submitting applications is set for 10 February 2023.
