The program of the 76th Locarno Film Festival, directed by Giona A. Nazzaro (from 2 to 12 August) has in its portfolio some career awards, to the British actor Riz Ahmed, to Pietro Scalia, to the great Tsai Ming-liang, to Renzo Rossellini. The inaugural film will be "The stringy star", comedy co-signed by Abel and Gordon. Among the guests Lambert Wilson, Ken Loach with the film "The Old Oak" and finally Cate Blanchett as producer of «Shayda» by Noora Niasari, the story of a courageous Iranian mother with a 6-year-old daughter who took refuge in Australia, while the film will be seen "Anatomy of a Chute" by Justine Triet.

In competition 17 promises, from Lav Diaz to the humor of Radu Jude, with a film contested by Venice.
