Moments of embarrassment in the Sky Sport studios during the “Speciale Calciomercato” broadcast from Lignano Sabbiadoro. The historic former sporting director of Udinese, 80 years old, the man who brought Zico to Friuli in the 80s, on the microphone of Gianluca Di Marzio, answering a question on a comparison between the market of yesterday and today, declared: “We started from what no longer happens today, from the youth sector. Today they make the pre-finished, pre-formed, on the color a little darker than usual…”.

In the studio, the host of the show Alessandro Bonan interrupted him. Dal Cin then appeared a few minutes later just to say hello. But the video with the offending words immediately went viral, sparking controversy. Then came the apologies to the newspaper “Il Messaggero Veneto”: “I used unfortunate words, I was never racist – explained Dal Cin – For twenty years my son Michele and I managed a football school in Lagos, in Nigeria. If there’s anyone who wants to embroider on it, go ahead.
