ROME – In Piazza del Popolo, Saturday 22 October from 9 to 18, the Red Cross of Rome will bring the CRI Salus Day, a Day dedicated to Health and Prevention, in which it will be possible for all those who want to reach the CRI Volunteers, to carry out free screening and specialist visits.Among these it will be possible to undergo, with the help of specialists who will be present in the square to: cardiological visits with echocardiogram and ECG, diabetic screening, audiometric examination, eye examination. But the day will also see more: demonstration of pediatric life-saving maneuvers, collective heart massage, demonstrations by the Dog Group, rescue simulations and much more.

The importance of prevention. “The Red Cross of Rome – says its President Debora Diodati – is full of activities and initiatives that are carried out in every committee present throughout the Metropolitan Area by more than 8 thousand volunteers. This day that sees so much Red Cross in the square is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of prevention and health but also to develop volunteering as a formidable tool to meet the needs of people and to help those who are most fragile. In addition, the CRI Salus Day on Saturday will be a party for us, because we are returning to organize a meeting in the square after two years in which it was not possible for us to do so due to the pandemic, an emergency on which we have been operational with every our resource “.
