Cremonese-Verona 1-1: Verdi responds to Okereke, Hellas locks into the safety zone

A good Cremonese wasn’t enough to get a full result against Verona: at Zini it finished 1-1 and relegation, for the Grigiorossi, was getting closer and closer. Opaque Verona, but the point is still vital because it allows the Venetians to hook La Spezia in third from last place. The opening goal by Okereke was answered by a carambola by Verdi after Quagliata had left the Grigiorossi down to ten players. Cremonese shows up with a bomb from Meité that Montipò puts in for a corner, then finds the advantage in the 9th minute.
