Come and talk to us at our Festival

With pedantic air they remind us that climate change is not a dogma (in fact it is not: it is a scientifically proven phenomenon). To buy time, they add that the ecological transition cannot become a religion (and in fact it isn’t even that: it is a path of transformation of the economy and reduction of climate-changing emissions on which an agreement was reached in Paris in 2015, signed by 195 States). Finally, to denigrate those who are committed instead of pretending nothing happened, they define the movements that are fighting to combat global warming “a cult”. But that’s not true either. In fact, to all those who are not convinced of the urgency and beauty of the challenge before us, we say: come and talk to us. come to Green&Blue Festival.

We look forward to seeing you especially at Milan, from 6 to 8 June where we studied a program made especially for meeting, talking, learning. Not just by speakers. For example in the main hall of the IBM Studios Milan the audience will also be made up of around a hundred students from the IUSS, Scuola Universitaria Superiore di Pavia PhD in Sustainable Development and Climate Change. They are doctoral students who come from the best universities and who you may have already met in the videos on our social channels where they explained difficult things in a simple way. Not far away, the teachers of the Master in Sustainability from the IT Academy will give interactive lessons for those who want to transform a passion into a job and guide, as managers, the ecological transition of a company.

But perhaps the most interesting moment is that of the “dialogues”. In collaboration with the platform The World Talkswill be staged on the Prato Meli della Tree Library Milan (BAM), from 17.30 to 18.30. The idea is to create up to fifty pairs of people who think differently on the hot topics of ecological transition every day and make them dialogue with the aim of creating bridges where there are walls.

On one thing the talk is zero: climate change is real. This is demonstrated – without words, without numbers – by the climate stripes you see on this page. They represent, with colors, the variations of average temperatures. Left as we were, in Italy, in 1850; to the right, how we were in 2022. Tell that to anyone who says we are a cult.
