The Bari forward plays the last half hour of the quarter-final won by the national team over Portugal but picks up two yellow cards in the space of a few minutes

Mixed emotions for Walid Cheddira, striker of Bari, among the protagonists at the world championship in Qatar with the Morocco shirt. The North African national team has in fact conquered the semifinals of the world competition, overcoming Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal in the quarterfinals with a score of 1-0. The red and white tip will not be able to take part in the match scheduled for Wednesday evening against an opponent still to be defined due to the double yellow card accrued in the final minutes of the match which earned him the expulsion.

Two “yellow” children of excess generosity of Cheddira, launched into the fray half an hour from the end by coach Regragui to lengthen the team and take advantage of the player’s speed on the counterattack. Cheddira put his effort into it, he proved to be dangerous in a couple of circumstances, but luckily screwed up on the best part not conditioning the success of Morocco. A sin of inexperience that will cost him more than his national team. For Bari, little changes. In the light of the dispute for a final in any case (for third or first place next Saturday or Sunday) he will have to do without Cheddira both tomorrow and next Saturday with Reggina.
