Not only bonuses for doing but also bonuses for communicating the importance of adopting behaviors capable of reducing our impact on the environment. This is why the “Ecological transition of cultural and creative organisms” incentive arrives with a budget of 20 million euros for the provision of non-repayable grants to micro and small cultural and creative enterprises, institutions and organizations operating in the cultural and artistic fields , including design, architecture, fashion, crafts. The contributions will be used to finance the implementation of projects, activities or products that have the aim of promoting innovation and eco-compatible design. The measure is promoted by the Ministry of Culture (DG Contemporary Creativity) and managed by Invitalia. Applications can be submitted from 11 May directly on the managing body’s website.

Communicate the importance of more responsible behavior

The public call aims to provide support to the cultural and creative sectors through financial contributions to carry out activities, projects or products aimed at contributing to climate action, combining design and sustainability, directing the public towards more responsible behavior towards of nature and the environment.

The areas of activity are the following:

  • music;
  • audiovisual and radio (including film/cinema, television, video games, software and multimedia);
  • fashion;
  • architecture and design;
  • visual arts (including photography);
  • live entertainment and festivals;
  • tangible and intangible cultural heritage (including archives, libraries and museums);
  • Artistic craftsmanship;
  • publishing, books and literature.

Projects in the interdisciplinary area relating to subjects operating in more than one field of intervention among those listed have also been financed.

Who is it for?

The concessions are aimed at micro and small enterprises, in the corporate form of capital or people, including cooperative societies, non-recognized associations, foundations, organizations with non-profit legal status, as well as Third sector entities, registered or in the course of enrollment in the “RUNTS”. These must be subjects in business and which are established on 31 December 2021. You can also participate by networking, from a minimum of three to a maximum of five different subjects.

The interventions

The bonus will be used to finance:

  • activities, projects or products based on eco-design and sustainability, also aimed at raising public awareness of environmental issues;
  • design of tools and solutions for the realization of cultural events, activities and services with low environmental impact;
  • implementation of strategic, organizational and operational planning actions for the drafting and implementation of governance development and environmental impact measurement plans, including energy efficiency programmes;
  • creation of cultural products with a strong educational and didactic component aimed at raising awareness of respect for the environment;
  • implementation of development activities and experimental prototypes, aimed at the eco-design of products and the recovery, reuse, recycling of products.

All applications in compliance with the eligibility requirements will be examined, evaluated and admitted to funding according to a merit ranking.
