For Contador, however, the party soon turned into a misadventure: the former rider, while in the grouphe fell to the ground hitting his face on the asphalt. An accident that caused him various cuts on his eyebrows, lips and cheekbones, so much so that rather disturbing photos began to circulate on social networks of his face reduced to a mask of blood.

Just to reassure everyone, Contador himself published a video in which he reiterated that he was fine and with which he explained in detail what had happened to him: «These are harsh images but, since they are already appearing on the net, I wanted to calm everyone down – the words of the Spaniard, on whose face the signs of the fall remain clearly evident – there was a lot of blood because both the cut to the eyebrow and the one to the cheekbone were considerable.
