Not just Rafael Leao. Milan are also anxious about Bennacer, who stopped in the 15th minute in the derby on Wednesday 10 May, valid for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, to then be replaced and leave the field for Messias. Arthroscopic surgery

This morning he underwent tests which revealed a post-traumatic cartilage lesion of the lateral femoral condyle of his right knee. The player will undergo arthroscopic surgery. All in all, not exactly great news. Bennacer’s season is over and Milan will have to do without him in the run-up to fourth place (Spezia, Sampdoria, Juventus and Verona in the last four days) and the comeback – but a feat is needed – to Inter in the second leg of the May 16th. The serious problem: the Rossoneri risk a decidedly longer stoppage, which could be around three to four months, compromising preparation for the next championship. Which Stefano Pioli hopes better than this. For the return of the derby, he can instead recover Leao and something would change.
