ROME – Everything is ready for the last mile of the “March in blue” which will be held in Pordenone on Sunday 2 April, on the occasion of World Autism Day, together with many other events in the city, always organized by Children and Autism Foundation. The goal is to inform and raise awareness of a condition that affects many families in Italy. The prevalence of autism is 1 in 77, according to the latest data provided by theHigher Institute of Health (ISS), but recent research in the United States reports even more alarming data: one case out of 36.

Everyone will be wearing something blue. The “last mile” of March in blue it is both a real and a symbolic goal, after having walked in several places in Italy throughout the month of March with a well-known formula that has seen schools, associations and individual citizens join. And everyone walked around wearing something blue to testify their closeness to those living with autism. The departure will be held at 10 from the Fire Brigade Headquarters, to arrive at the Pordenone Town Hall in an atmosphere of celebration and inclusion. There will also be the “Bicycles of hugs” of the Noi United for Autism Association of Pordenone, the clowns of Claunando, and a banquet with gadgets and mascots for the little ones and delicious Easter products.

Participation is free. A way to stay close and walk concretely together. The whole community is invited. Also until 12 on March 31, on the Facebook page of Children and Autism Foundation it will be possible to vote on the drawing dedicated to the March in blue made by children and schools. The creation that gets the most likes will win a kit”autism-friendly” containing the Trudi mascot, T-shirt and pins from Children and Autism Foundation Onlus.
