Athletics: Flavia Ferrari died while jogging

ROME. She collapsed on the grass in the Tor Tre Teste park in Rome. Some passersby raised the alarm but for Flavia Ferrari, 24, it was too late: an illness had killed her. The help of the 118 medical personnel was useless. She The young woman had a past as an athlete: as a middle distance runner of the under 20 blue national team she had participated in some marathons. But she had had to stop competitive activity because in 2019 she was diagnosed with serious heart disease.

The police are investigating the young woman’s death. Perhaps the fatal illness caught Flavia while she was practicing sports, in fact she was in gymnastics. It will be the autopsy, ordered by the judiciary, and scheduled in the next few days at the Tor Vergata hospital at the Institute of Legal Medicine, to shed light on the causes of the girl’s death.
