A 27-year-old footballer suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during the Ribolla-Suvereto match of the second category championship, and was saved thanks to the defibrillator supplied to the stadium. The match was played today, Sunday 19 February, on the Scirea del Ribolla sports field, in the municipality of Roccastrada, in the province of Grosseto.

The player, after less than five minutes of the game, he suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground. To help him some managers and staff members of the two teams, as well as a nurse who was in the stands and took to the field to coordinate emergency operations. The use of the AED, the number of emergency services are decisive.

By the time the Pegasus ambulance arrived, the young man had already fully regained consciousness.
