Additional biometric touchpoints will be installed by the spring, allowing passengers to use biometrics to also use automated pre-security gates and self-boarding gates. The project paves the way for the diffusion of digital travel, providing a real biometric platform in common use in all German airport terminals, open to all airlines operating at the airport. Technology is making huge leaps forward for speed up airport procedures without lowering the threshold of safety.
