ROME – The report of Frost & Sullivan Africa on investable infrastructure opportunities on the continent as part of its partnership with Africa investor (ai) e African Green Infrastructure Investment Bank (AfGIIB). It is learned from Africa e Affari, the magazine on the continent of the futuredirected by Massimo Zaurrini.

The two main concerns. Recalling the need for large-scale and rapid deployment of capital earmarked for Africa’s development goals, the report highlights two main concerns among investors: lack of investable projects to absorb large capital and lack of adequate platforms with solid processes of governance to manage large capitals.

A good basis of opportunity. The report then details the result of years of work in the infrastructure sector, profiling individual projects in the regions as they progress through the various stages of maturity. With more than $100 billion of projects underway and committed in the region, there is already an excellent opportunity base. The report provides a good understanding of the current level of opportunity and the direction of key opportunities and trends associated with infrastructure investments to target current and prospective investors in the region.
