Two years ago, twelve European clubs, among the most famous, tried to overthrow the governance of European football by proposing the foundation of the Super League: 20 teams, 15 by right and only 5 through qualification. A closed and elitist system that triggered the vehement reactions of fans and politics. An agreement revealed by journalist Tariq Panja’s scoop on the New York Times. An agreement that had already been presented at the assembly of the Serie A League before the media revelations. Scoop which obviously provoked the wrath of Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA, treasure trove of European cups, against the ‘rebel’ clubs and, in particular, against Andrea Agnelli considered the project leader. Project organized and communicated in the worst possible way, with legal aftermath between Spanish courts and the European Court of Justice.
