The publication was promoted by the Department for Sport, by the Guarantor Authority for Children and Adolescents, by the School of Sport of Sport and Health. On the occasion, a training initiative dedicated to teachers and sports tutors on the issues of the right to sport of minors was also presented, which will take place online on a dedicated platform as part of the YES project managed by the Department for Sport together. to INDIRE.

The document, drawn up with the involvement of numerous experts, addresses eleven issues through which it analyzes the close link between sporting practice and the well-being of the minor, also in consideration of the rights universally recognized by the UN Convention on the rights of the child and adolescence. . We move from the right to sport to bullying, from how to recognize and manage cases of sexual violence in sports to gender equality. Each individual chapter is divided into paragraphs (what we are talking about, we know that) and is accompanied by a practical example and how (what can be done) that episode should be treated correctly. A formidable tool also in the hands of sports federations, too often distracted or without the necessary tools to decipher risky behaviors and draw the necessary consequences. “The world of sport” explains Michele Scicioli, head of the government’s sports department in the preface, “represents a decisive place for the psychophysical development of young sportsmen and women and requires the adoption of specific actions that allow them to enjoy all the benefits. that sporting activity can provide within a safe and protected environment.
