Two games run parallel, between the Municipality and the Region, around the word “waste-to-energy plant”. Plant that the mayor Roberto Gualtieri is pushing ahead (the administrative process has started, Acea Ambiente has expressed interest) and to which he has been looking at since the days when, under the Draghi government, the project seemed to be able to travel under generally transversely favorable eyes. And yet everything has changed, in one year, starting with the national and regional governments. And even if the new center-right governor Francesco Rocca, after meeting the mayor five days ago, said he had found “great serenity and synergy, no moment of division, a common desire to have a strong dialogue” that leads to improving the project, under the radar, both on the right and on the left, some resistance appears, reflected in the doubts that creep in Elly Schlein’s Pd, where, before the summer, the new Roman secretary will have to be appointed, but also in FdI.
