[ad_1]
The agreement reached today by the European Union (yet to be ratified) on the revision of the Renewable Energy Directive – one of the key elements of the Fit for 55 package – represents a breakthrough in creating the legislative framework necessary for both climate objectives and independence energy of the Member States. At the heart of the agreement is the binding target of a percentage of renewable energy (share of energy from renewable sources in gross final consumption) by 2030 – i.e. electricity, but also for example fuels and hydrogen.
