The Cosenza takes a small, important step towards salvation. In the first leg of the Serie B play-out, the Brescia and now he will be able to go up to Rigamonti for the second leg (next Thursday 1 June at 20.30) aware that he will have two results out of three available to avoid relegation to Serie C. Brescia, on the other hand, will have to win with at least one goal difference to drag the match into extra time.

Bisoli’s cross at the start of the second half

After a balanced first half with a couple of rather unrealistic shots on each side (both by Nasti for Cosenza and by Karacic and Labojko for Brescia), the match lights up in the second half: the home team nearly hit the target with a Nasti heads, Gastaldello’s men go very close to the lead first with Mangraviti, who is opposed by Micai with his foot, and then with Bisoli, who takes the inside of the crossbar with a header.

Nasti decides the challenge

Cosenza are not there and, after having called Andrenacci into question again with Nasti, they pass (70′): the goal is scored by the most active man, Nasti, who with a soft header takes up a rejection by Andrenacci on a previous aerial shot by D’Orazio and sends the ball over the goal line after a kiss on the post.

Olzer and Mangraviti almost equalized in the final

Brescia sketched out a reaction in the final but weren’t lucky: a free-kick from substitute Olzer from outside the box nearly hit the crossroads, Mangraviti with his left foot from a good position laps the post to Micai’s right. In a week, the Lombards will definitely have to be more incisive if they want to avoid dropping the club to Serie C after 38 years.
