The German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, he allowed himself a break between his institutional commitments, having lunch in a well-known wine shop in the suggestive Piazza di Pietra, a few steps from Palazzo Chigi and Piazza Montecitorio. Scholz on a visit to Italy, met the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni in the morning. After the meeting, the chancellor, followed by an imposing security system, went to Piazza di Pietra for a quick lunch together with his staff. During the break Scholz took a few selfies with the tourists who had recognized him and, after re-tying his tie, the chancellor got back in the car towards the Quirinale for a meeting with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
