Romics 2022 and boxing: the champions of the ring become comics

For the first time an Olympic discipline will be the protagonist in the four days of Romics 2022. From 6 to 9 October the very champions of the Italian Boxing Federation Roberto Cammarelle, Patrizio Oliva, Irma Testa, Simona Galassi, Aziz Abbes Mouhiidine will meet their cartoon avatars and the public of the prestigious Fair inside the mega stand where the FPI will launch the Campaign of FPI Communication “Boxing Heroes “- Champions of Boxing. Heroes of Comics, declined as a 2022-2023 membership / affiliation campaign but above all as a value and motivational project aimed at young people, with a dedicated claim: “Enter the FPI Universe and choose the Champion you want to become”. Conceived and created together with Artmediasport and ARF! Festival, which has been entrusted with the artistic direction of the project, and sponsored by CONI and Sport e Salute, the campaign focuses on the cartoonization of the Boxing Champions, drawn as Avatar / Comics by the well-known cartoonist, illustrator and character designer Luca Genovese.

Main event will be the Press conference expected Saturday 8 October at h 10.15 in which, together with the Campionissimi and Luca Genovese, the first six Boxing Heroes will be shown to the public (Nino Benvenuti, Roberto Cammarelle, Patrizio Oliva, Irma Testa, Simona Galassi, Aziz Abbes Mouhiidine), of which so far only the Medal has been revealed “Titanium” Olympic Bronze Medal by Irma Testa. On Sunday 9 October, the unmissable appointment will be the Panel “Boxing Heroes – Comics as a communication tool for Sport”, also promoted on the digital channels of the Festival, in which the Heroes of Boxing and Genovese will answer questions from the public.

The Champions-Ambassadors, representing the history, values, current events and future of Italian Boxing, will be shown in the graphic cartoon version with a precise identification and with the powers / values ​​of boxing: courage, determination, passion, respect, safety and competition.

In the FPI Area, located in Hall 6 of the Rome Fairit will be possible to train with the Federal Technicians, led by the Master Massimo Barone of the Boxing Gym and wear gloves with the Boxing Heroes, participating in the contest that will reserve gadgets autographed by the Champions and a boxing experience on the Ring “Romics” FPI for the winners.

From Romics 2022 a campaign tour will start that will cross the entire Italian territory. From drawing to digital, passing through social networks, the campaign will explode in specific live locations, on the occasion of sporting events, expanding within the great popular culture events in Italy, very strong in the area, up to schools, involving families, girls and boys, girls and boys.
