The loyalty of the Cav. however, also thanks to the historic relations with Berlusconi, she managed to maintain the role of group leader in the Senate, despite being contested for a too harsh approach towards the government of Giorgia Meloni and a closeness to Northern League positions. More or less the same reasons that led, in the Chamber, to the replacement of Alessandro Cattaneo as president of the deputies of Forza Italia.
