Morgan Stanley ends relations with Crispin Odey (after the scandal on sexual violence) - Corriere.it


Morgan Stanley has allegedly decided to terminate relations with Crispin Odey's Odey Asset Management. The closure of relations was determined by the publication of the Financial Times investigation which recounted how the manager of the hedge fund has evaded allegations of sexual violence for decades. According to reports from the FT, the bank has started a process to terminate the primary intermediation relationship.

The investigation

According to the business newspaper's investigation, Odey allegedly sexually harassed or assaulted 13 women over the past 25 years. Eight of the women included in the investigation said they were physically assaulted by the manager. A law firm representing Odey said the client "strenuously disputes" the allegations.

Odey a well-known figure in British finance. Over six feet tall, he was known as a wayward gentleman.
