A nightmare day for Wout Van Aert on the roads of Lombardy. The Belgian champion carried out a 65-kilometre "sgambata" with start and finish near Saronno in preparation for the Milan-San Remo. Van Aert cycled on the roads that from Saronno point towards Olgiate Comasco before returning to the Jumbo hotel. According to reports on Strava, the ride lasted just under two hours.
