The president of the European Commission and that of the Italian Council visited the flood areas today
The president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and that of the Italian Council giorgia Meloni visited the flooded areas of Emilia-Romagna today.
They were welcomed at the Bologna airport by the president of the Emilia Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, the Prefect of Bologna, Attilio Visconti, and the Head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabrizio Curcio.
Meloni and von der Leyen - together with the Minister for European Affairs Raffaele Fitto - flew over Bologna, Conselice, Lavezzola, Ravenna, Forl, Faenza, Modigliana, Casola Valsenio, Castel Bolognese, Bagnacavallo and Lugo aboard an Air Force helicopter military.
