The premier defends the maneuver. Over three thousand amendments. CGIL and UIL: strike

Over three thousand (3,104) amendments presented: 617 are from the majority, (285 Brothers of Italy, 136 Forza Italia, 151 Lega and 45 We moderates), the others from the opposition with the primacy of Pd (957) and Five Stars (772). The path of the economic maneuver proceeds. And, as both the prime minister reiterated Giorgia Meloniand the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti, there is no turning back. There may be some evaluation on some issues, but the system of the provision will not change. Prime Minister and owner of the MEF reiterated this yesterday morning at the majority meeting with the group leaders, explaining that the margins for change are very limited.

But to untie the last knots and hurry up, a control room is being created which will be operational as early as Monday, as requested by the majority forces who are asking for new changes on some issues, such as on Superbonus and pensions, for Forza Italia. On pos and cash for no turning back, the prime minister reiterated, while taking into account the interlocution with Europe, the government’s intention not to distort the law. Because, he also repeated to the unions received in the afternoon at Palazzo Chigi, it is not true that the maneuver gives a sign of laxity on tax evasion. And indeed, the prime minister was amazed: How is it possible that you have the same position as Bank of Italy? Banks make money….

But in more than two hours of meeting with the leaders of CGIL, CISL, UIL and Ugl — Maurizio Landini, Luigi Sbarra, Pierpaolo Bombardieri, Claudio Capone — the premier did not rule out evaluations and some improvements on the requests of the unions on issues such as taxation, employment and pensions (such as the Women’s Option, for example), defined as sensible. Vouchers, he assures, will not be a tool for underpaying workers. For Meloni he specifies that the government is responsible for making the choices: if we lined up all the requests there would never be the resources to do everything. The appointment in January for a series of ad hoc tables (on the 12th on safety and health, on the 19th on pensions).

But the CGIL and UIL confirm the negative judgment on the maneuver and therefore strikes and demonstrations throughout Italy starting next Monday in Calabria. Landini (Cgil) explains: The answers obtained confirmed profound distances on the issue of taxation, precariousness and the protection of purchasing power, because to our request to reduce the contribution wedge to 5%. and recognize an automatism that reevaluates the deductions for employee work, we have not had any answers. Even Bombardieri (Uil) confirms the no: We have been given availability for a series of discussion tables, but given the wage emergency, with tables you don’t pay bills and you don’t eat: we will take to the streets. Cisl and Ugl reiterate their no to the square, confirming the rift between the acronyms: The difficult moment – says Capone (Ugl) -, but now the time for dialogue. While Sbarra (Cisl), though critical, rejects the strike.

Meanwhile the oppositions announce battle with thousands of amendments starting from the parliamentary tsunami announced by the 5 Stars. The Democratic Party, in addition to focusing on a minimum wage and lower taxes on work, is asking for a stop to the rules on pos and cash. On 20 December the text will be in the Chamber in the Chamber.
