It's time to concert the energy transition process

The Earth is warming up. According to NASA data, 2020 was the hottest year on record, with an average temperature 1.02 degrees higher than that of the 1950-1980 period. To find a solution, the recent COP26 in Glasgow in 2021 sanctioned the commitment to achieve the so-called Carbon Neutrality by 2050, but to respond to the constant increase in the demand for electricity in the world, reducing polluting and climate-altering emissions and dependence on abroad, it is increasingly necessary to give a strong acceleration to the development of renewable energies.
For this reason it was bornK.EY – The Energy Transition Expo”, the first independent edition of the IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) event of reference for the Mediterranean basin on energy transition, which stands as a community catalyst and network capable of connecting key players and stakeholders in the sector and promoting the communication with the institutions.

«For 15 editions Key Energy has represented an opportunity to reflect on the development of renewables - declares Lorenzo Cagnoni, President of the Italian Exhibition Group - constituting, together with Ecomondo, a community and a unique business and research platform on the Italian scene. The centrality that the debate on the achievement of the decarbonisation objectives and on the energy transition has assumed at an international level and also in our country, however, convinced us that it was necessary to dedicate an independent appointment no longer only to renewable energies, but above all to the efficiency at 360° and all the technologies necessary for the energy transition. For this reason, we have created "K.EY - The Energy Transition Expo": an event that has the ambition to become a leader in the countries of the Mediterranean basin and a privileged place for comparison, discussion and updating».

The appointment, scheduled from 22 to 24 March at the Rimini fair, foresees the involvement of over 500 brands, of which about 30% from abroad and over 300 qualified operators from all over the world. Indeed, the event has an international dimension thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the ICE Agency and the collaboration with numerous international associations in the sector.
K.EY pays particular attention to Africa and in general to the countries of the Mediterranean basin, with operators in the renewable energy market, companies, producers, distributors, buyers and investors. The calendar of the three days is tight, with appointments fixed by the Technical-Scientific Committee of K.EY, chaired by Prof. Gianni Silvestrini, together with the main national and international associations in the sector. “K.EY – The Energy Transition Expo” is an opportunity to learn about legislative aspects, development trends and emerging markets, as well as news on the future of energy and renewables.
