For the future generation of the best physics students from all over the world, the appointment is in Milan from 12 to 16 May. The Lombard capital, in fact, was chosen as the venue for the Plancks finals, the “Physics Olympics”, now in its tenth edition.

The guests

The actual competition will take place at the State University’s physics department in a single day. In addition to this, however, seminars, presentations, readings, visits to laboratories and research centers will be organised. There will be six external speakers, including Didier Queloz, Nobel 2019 for the discovery of the first exoplanet, Federico Faggin, one of the most important developers of microprocessors and the first touchscreens, Marco Liscidini, professor at the University of Pavia and expert in photonics and quantum optics, Claudia Passero, professor of oceanography and atmospheric physics at the Milan Bicocca University.
