On May 6th, he left us Hanna Fenichel Pitkin, professor emerita of political science at the University of Berkeley, known and appreciated internationally, whose studies continue to be a point of reference for many researchers, despite having subscribed to teaching several years ago (she was born in 1931 in Berlin) . The research interests that she has cultivated in her long experience as a teacher ranged from political representation to the history of political thought, from psychoanalysis to feminist theory. In 2016, Dean Mathiowetz edited a collection of some of her most important writings published by Routledge under the title “Hanna Fenichel Pitkin. Politics, Justice, Action”.
