The absence of vices produces zombies. Maxim always valid, a bit for everyone. Very valid today for those born between the Nineties and the Zeros. For twenty-year-olds no longer vampires but zombies, in fact, who no longer aspire to the nectar of life. At a certain point in these years, let’s say, it happened that smoking and alcohol got boring and – worse I feel – that people got tired of love. This is the picture that emerges from the Social Science & Medicine research on the evolution of youth habits in higher income countries. But if you’re twenty years old and you don’t get caught up in a smoker’s cough or no less toxic things of the heart, that doesn’t stop you from feeling bad. The lungs are better than in the past, perhaps, and the nudity is calm. But the mind suffers.
