The government has raised the question of confidence in the bill decree, which is being examined by the Senate “without amendments or additional articles” and in the text identical to that approved in the Chamber on 18 May. The Minister for Relations with Parliament, Luca Ciriani, asked for it in the Chamber. On the basis of the agreements made yesterday between the parliamentary groups, the vote for its conversion into law is expected by 2 pm. The text (approved in Montecitorio with 158 votes in favour, 71 against and six abstentions from the Third Pole) must be converted into law by on May 29. The government had also placed its trust in the Chamber.

The text contains measures ranging from the strengthening of the social bonus for electricity and gas to the softer squeeze on coin-operated doctors.
